Our Story

Everybody has a story to tell, so what’s ours?

Click Consult was founded in 2003 by our CEO, Matt Bullas. Originally starting out as a company that bought and sold international airtime online, using the AdWords Pay Per Click marketing model to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. At the time Google Adwords had only been available in the UK for around a year.

Matt soon found a niche offering expertise in this new online marketing tactic to other businesses, and so Click Consult was born. With a small team in a tiny office, the company soon attracted a handful of clients focusing purely on paid search. As the marketing world in the UK started to take a real interest in what this new advertising medium could offer, so Click Consult started to see a growing interest in its specialist services.

Then we began to grow…

Within four years the company had moved into larger premises and grown in size to a team of twenty. Building on its specialism in paid search marketing, the company expanded into organic search (SEO), another new and growing field at that time. And one that clearly complemented its existing expertise. Demand grew and so did we. In fact Click Consult has enjoyed consistent year on year growth since its inception.

With big name clients, multiple award wins and numerous accreditations under our belt, we’re continuing to thrive.

We’ve positioned ourselves firmly at the fore of the sector with an ambitious thought leadership programme that aims to raise standards across the sector and help us to tackle the biggest challenges facing our clients. This includes our annual Benchmark Conference, which attracts big brand speakers and delegates from all over the UK, as well as our quarterly magazine that provides commentary on industry news, trends and advice.

Now with over 70 full time staff and a broad portfolio of complementary services, Click Consult has evolved into a fully fledged digital and search marketing agency. We’ve boosted our capability over time through key hires, staff development, restructuring, new tooling and leveraging our relationship with technology partners.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing…

The truth is, we’ve experienced lows as well as highs. We’ve made mistakes along the way and become stronger because of it. As many established businesses will no doubt concur, rapid growth can be painful as well as exhilarating. With the right advice, we learned to adapt, and reassessed everything.

The relaunch of our brand, positioning and website in summer 2013 marked a new era for Click Consult. We became leaner, more focused, and more efficient than ever before. We’re totally transparent in everything we do and our sole purpose is generating tangible, measurable return for our clients.

We’re looking forward…

We are extremely proud of our roots and the journey we have been on. We’ve worked with literally hundreds of different companies of all sizes and shapes. It all adds to our experience and has created a firm foundation for our future.

In 2018, we joined forces with consumer brand services company, Ceuta Group, which provides us with a global platform for Click Consult to continue to grow to new heights.

The digital marketing industry will continue to change and evolve. We will no doubt continue to adapt as things unfold. But only if it adds value for our clients. We’re excited about the future and the next chapter of our story and the positive impact we will have on the lives of our team and the business results of our clients.
