Immy one month in Click

1 month at Click – Immy Jones

Starting a new role can be nerve-wracking, exciting and downright scary all at the same time. Here at Click we try our best to be welcoming, fun and friendly to combat any new-role jitters. It’s easy enough for us to say that we’re a great bunch of people, but what do our new starters think 1 month in?

Could you introduce yourself, and what your role is?

Hi! I’m Immy and I’m the Marketing Executive at Click Consult. My role is fairly broad, but at the moment I focus on creating content for Click’s website, and also manage our social media pages. There’s lots more to come as my role develops!

Why did you apply to Click Consult?

I was a bit taken aback by the sheer amount of quality content on the website, and just knew I wanted to be a part of it. I had (and still have) many ideas of how Click could promote themselves better on social media, and didn’t want the opportunity to pass me by.

What are your impressions of us 1 month in?

It’s been said before in this blog series, but the people are what make Click Consult so brilliant. I’ve only worked in the office a couple of times but felt a part of the team immediately. I can’t wait to get back to working in the office as everyone bounces ideas off each other and the atmosphere is great.

What’s your favourite part of the role?

My favourite part of the role has got to be the fact that I can talk about my ideas freely and without judgement. I also love writing, so this is the perfect role for me. I’m looking forward to seeing how the role develops.

What advice would you give to any new starters?

My main piece of advice would be to take everything in slowly, don’t rush! It’s OK to forget people’s names, and it’s certainly OK to ask questions, even if you feel the answer may be obvious.

Our last question, are you a dog or cat person?

When I was growing up, I’d answer very fast with DOG PERSON. However, now that I have a cat I’m on the fence a bit. Neo (the cat) is very much like a dog, making matters even more confusing… Can I just say I’m a Neo person?

If you think you’d be a great fit for Click Consult, we’d love to hear from you. Check out our latest vacancies on our careers page!
