Econsultancy’s annual Top 100 Digital Agencies report has been released, which spotlights the most successful agencies within the UK’s search marketing industry

One segment of the report reveals the top 100 digital agencies based on their annual fee income from individual search marketing activities, rather than their total annual income. We thought this made for some interesting reading…

So, we segmented the results down to the top 25 fee income earners specifically for organic search (SEO) and paid search (PPC) in the UK. DigitasLBi tops the ranking table for both SEO and PPC, with £9,858,880.00 of the popular digital agency’s annual fee income being driven from its SEO service. With an annual fee income totalling an impressive £61,618,000.00, that’s 16% of the agency’s fee income that is attributed to SEO.

As we continue to grow, Click Consult now sits in sixth place on the ranking chart, with £4,675,000.00 of our annual turnover of £5,500,000.00 being attributed to our multi award-winning organic search service. That’s 85% of our annual fee income, all dedicated to SEO.

Fellow digital marketing agencies listed in the top 25 highest fee income earners for SEO include Stickyeyes, McCann Manchester and Latitude Digital Marketing.

Additionally, after segmenting Econsultancy’s table down to the top 25 fee income earners for PPC in the UK per annum, we’re ranked 19th, with £660,000.00 of our annual turnover being driven from our established paid search service.

Jellyfish Group, Jaywing and Epiphany sit in the top 25 highest fee income earners for PPC, alongside McCann Manchester and Stickyeyes, who both made it into the top 25 for both PPC and SEO.

Econsultancy defines “fee income” as the “money agencies retain from clients after rechargeable third-party costs, such as media, production or hosting have been paid.” The leading digital research and publishing company also outlines within the report that agencies unable to release financial information have been excluded from the rankings unless the data is available from other sources, such as Companies House.

We’re delighted to be one of the highest fee income earners for both SEO and PPC services in the UK. With search marketing being our core focus area, we are optimistic about seeing our agency crawl higher up the ranking table as we continue to grow.

Congratulations to our fellow search marketing agencies who also made it into the top 25!
