We’re thrilled to announce the launch of The Short Cutts’ very own Twitter account, @TheShort_Cutts
Since its launch in March 2013, The Short Cutts has gone from strength to strength, receiving over 27,000 unique sessions in April 2014 alone. Despite its growth, The Short Cutts remains true to its initial objective; providing short, concise answers to all of Matt Cutts’ videos and it has now been noted by industry-leading experts and businesses including Search Engine Journal, Search Engine Land, Search Engine Roundtable and by Matt Cutts himself.
Along the way The Short Cutts has evolved and the team here at Click Consult have worked to improve the website’s interface, enhancing user experience and even adding Google Translate functionality to accommodate the ever evolving global audience. The Short Cutts now has users from 146 different countries so it was an essential addition to the site.
We have spent hours upon hours watching and summarising all of Matt Cutts’ videos, shortening them into one or two words and providing users with a directory of SEO related questions. And ifthe standard search bar doesn’t quite do it for you, you can opt to filter the videos by t-shirt colour. Yes that’s right, we’ve even gone to the trouble of sorting all of the videos by the colour of Matt Cutt’s t-shirt (we’re not geeky at all…).
That was until, Cutts himself decided to “play” with our t-shirt filter and during his April Fools day video, his t-shirt mysteriously changed colour throughout. “I switch shirts every 5-6 videos, and we go down the list of videos in order of votes, so shirt color is mostly uncorrelated with the content”, Cutts admitted.
We’re delighted to take the next step in The Short Cutts evolution and unveil a brand spanking new Twitter account, which will allow us to update users with the latest SEO and search marketing updates and let you know as soon as the latest Short Cutts summary is available, while a full press release about the project’s continued success is visible here.
